GACKT - my enduring inspiration. I refer to him as my gateway drug to Japanese culture. Through his performances I’ve discovered Japanese historical drama, manga, films, anime, traditional music, games, tokusatsu shows, kabuki, contemporary Japanese music, poetry, fashion, kimono, food, katana, I could go on. He composes his own music, designs his own jewelry, works with the best artists in the business, happens to be the most beautiful man in the world, but best of all, devotes himself to charity work on behalf of earthquake surrvivors and children throughout Asia, becomes Uesugi Kenshin in annual festivals, one of my revered figures of history. And wrote my little girl the loveliest email when she raised money for his charity Show Your Heart . Eternal love for you, Gacchan.

Lots of upheaval in rl around here, so I have not been able to sit down to writing, but I know I have John Watson and the Christmas Conundrum to finish up. Valentines Day on the way, as well as new artwork for anniversary of the disaster in Japan in March - speaking of which, I still have artwork for sale with all proceeds going to Japanese Red Cross at my printfection site here.
